After a Caroline free episode last week, we were treated to some amazing scenes this week. I don’t know about you but I can’t wait to see what happens next Thursday! Close to 300 high definition screencaptures from tonight’s episode have been added to the gallery.

The Vampire Diaries season finale is fast approaching! Only three more episodes remain and we finally have a glimpse of Candice in the final episode – called As I Lay Dying. One HQ still has been added to the gallery and I will of course add more if they are released.

She Plays: Caroline Forbes, high school cheerleader-turned-”the little vampire that could,” says exec producer Kevin Williamson. “She’s the strongest character on the show.” Adds Accola: “The writers gave me a character that started off as this archetypal bitch, and then she was given a chance to mess up and come out the other side a stronger, more secure person. She’s finding herself and growing up.”

Where You’ve Seen Her: After moving from Orlando to Los Angeles her junior year, the daughter of a surgeon and an environmental engineer won small roles in such indie films as Juno and the controversial Deadgirl, as well as several TV guest spots (Supernatural, Greek).

Why We Love Her: How can you not? Her bubbly, mischievous charm shines through even when she’s acting all nasty vamp. “This little girl whom I had never seen before came in to audition and just made me smile,” recalls Williamson. “She’s poised and polished, and also vulnerable — all the things that Caroline Forbes is supposed to be.”

Musical Notes: As demonstrated on a recent episode, Accola also has musical chops. At 17, she cut an album of what she calls “sassy-girl pop rock,” then “got to live out [my] rock-star fantasies” as a backup singer on the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus tour and the resulting Best of Both Worlds concert movie. “I’ll never forget it,” the 23-year-old actress says with, yes, a lovable giggle.

I realized that everyone has a body type and mine was not made for corsets [laughs]. I’ve got wide-set rib and no waist, I am sooo not who they make corsets for. So no, I no longer envy them at all. She was born in the right century: miniskirts and A-line jackets.

Television is a fabulously creative medium, but the fact is characters rarely pull complete 180′s midway through a show’s run (outside of “I’ve been a double agent all along” twists on spy dramas). That’s why Caroline Forbes’ transformation from self-absorbed high schooler to multi-faceted vampire has been one of the most exciting developments in Mystic Falls history — and one more example of why “Vampire Diaries” is television at its most compelling.

And the hits keep on coming for Miss. Forbes as season two winds down. Just as she got a hold on her newfound immortality and unquenchable bloodlust, Caroline’s world was rocked (unbeknownst to her) by her mother and lovers’ unified betrayal.

I caught up with actress Candice Accola (whose evolution has been just as impressive as Caroline’s) to talk about this game-changing development, what the future holds for Miss Mystic Falls and if there’s more to the Stefan/Caroline relationship than BFF’s!

Tonight’s episode of The Vampire Diaries was so good! Sadly, Caroline wasn’t featured much but she was oh so cute in her Jackie O costume so that almost made up for the lack of screen time. I’ve added over 130 high definition screencaptures from the episode to the gallery.

The long wait is finally over! A brand new episode of The Vampire Diaries aired tonight and it was an awesome one. Caroline wasn’t featured as much as I would have liked but the scenes she was in were amazing. I’ve added just over 200 high definition screencaptures to our gallery.
